Is Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev promoting Hinduism with his Shiva statue?

Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev has rarely promoted any God and had always maintained that it's upto us to seek the truth. 

Watch this video if you are interested in knowing his views clearly about seeking God.

Now, to the question of why Shiva and AdiYogi, he has explained multiple times that yogic culture does not look at Shiva as a God but as the first Yogi (i.e.) AdiYogi. 

In this video (watch from 11:55) he clearly articulates who / what is Shiva.

The AdiYogi statue is not for any worship but as an inspiration for the generations to come to take up yoga. 

In fact, most people coming to the place to see the statue also seem to have the same understanding. They address it as AdiYogi statue rather than Shiva statue.

War on Isha and Other Hindu Organizations by Church - 2

[Note: Before you dismiss me as a xenophobic or someone who hates Christianity, hear me out. I only dislike the methods employed in religious conversions. Am against no religion.]

(1) Stop Foreign Funding

It is the first and foremost step definitely. Why is there so much resistance created in public media by the Church in Tamilnadu against BJP? One simple and straight-forward reason is the number of NGOs that have been banned by the current government in Tamilnadu in 2015:

(2) Enforce strict Visa rules on missionaries

If you do not know this, most foreign missionaries are entering India under the garb of 'tourists' and 'teachers'.

Of course, with the level of bribes and corruption at our immigration department, there is no doubt such cases are still getting through. 

"99% of Christian Missionaries come to India on Tourist VISA. They dont follow VISA guidelines; doing Mission work on Tourist VISA is illegal as per current law they need very specifci Missionary VISA. We have to enforce this rule by doing few things Ask for written declaration “purpose of Visit” if anyone wrongly states purpose of visit, punish them to full extent of law. They can be jailed directly from airport for 3 years with no bail."

I do not know if this would be still effective now. At least in Tamilnadu, the local missionaries have become smart enough to do the mass conversions by themselves. The news is from the Horse's mouth directly:

The Art of Lo(i)ving and Rally For Rivers

I was going through Quora and found an interesting question - "what is the difference between Art of Living and Isha Foundation?"

I too had been thinking about it. One person I know who has attended yoga programs by both Sri Sri Ravishankar and Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev is 'My dad'. He vouches for both of them in the same tone though!

Both organizations have been doing tremendous service on the spiritual plane as well as social sectors. I have already covered extensively on the social work done by Isha Foundation. For those who do not about AOL (Art of Living) doing social projects, they have been active on:

- Women empowerment
- Rural Health management
- Training unskilled youth
- Tree plantations
- River & Lake cleaning activities, etc.

Quite a bucketful of things but they have been successfully doing this involving millions of people. There was one thing that stood as odd-man-out in my research though!

That AOL seemed to be jealous of the visibility Isha Foundation was getting!

I had heard rumours about it earlier but dismissed them off since they were just that - rumours. And I had not seen any visible proof of that, till recently.

The recent incidents with launch of 'Rally For Rivers' by Isha Foundation and it going viral with national media, celebrities and public alike seems to have irked a feather or two in AOL. Two of AOL's most prominent teachers took to Twitter trying to bully Isha Foundation and were promptly thrashed by Twitterati.

A similar attempt earlier had met the same fate, but that did not deter 'Bawa' who teaches 'World Unity' from taking a dig again!

This is a clear sign of desperation from AOL!!

The fate of such posts on Facebook was no different ..

To their credit, Isha Foundation has not gotten back at AOL with neither any official response nor unofficial to such pokes & digs.

One of the main reasons why India was conquered by Muslim invaders and the British was lack of unity internally. Phenomenal empires have succumbed to external armies simply because of this factor.

We Indians conveniently forget our history too soon .. or have been trained to be so under our Left-masters. When are these lost lessons from history going to be ingrained?

The cause of 'Rally For Rivers' is a great one and is in fact something that AOL has been working on, at a low key probably. The fact that Isha Foundation has given amplification to this cause does not demean AOL's work in that area. Whoever gets the job done most will be naturally recognized by the public. If AOL truly stands by the cause, it is best they join hands with Isha Foundation to make it even bigger and ensure action for public welfare bringing in all their influence too.

The vultures (Christian Missionaries and Separatist forces) are just waiting outside the camp to see the Hindu forces fall so they can feast on their carcasses.  I hope AOL is listening and stop quibbing about such things. It makes them unpopular, unnecessarily in the online world and does not help the cause of Hindu culture.

(1) Making Hindu Spiritual gurus appear like bad people

(2) Justifying attacks on Hindu women

(3) Attacking Hindu festivals under the garb of environmental activism

(4) Launching direct attacks on Hindu idealogies through movies criticising Hindu gurus, gods, practices, etc.

(5) Criticising Hindu temple practices under the garb of animal rights protections and environmental activism

(6) Publishing plain false stories on Hinduism

(7) Falsifying Hindu history

Don't believe me! But if you want to know the truth, go through all these articles referred in this section.

Especially severe in the southern states and eastern states of India, this is a story no mainstream media will cover for at least some more time. I will expand on each of these in detail in my future articles.

Hindus - a persecuted majority in India?

Is there a systematic attack on the Hindu community now? Let's take a look at the facts from some of the recent articles I happened to go through:

Let's start with the last article. It has been from 2015, almost 18 months back. The article cites statistics based on 2012 data. It talks about the factors causing the population share of a group or community to rise - Higher fertility rates, net immigration and a lower mortality rate. By far, the most important is the fertility rate.

What is fertility rate?

Usually it is the 'Average number of children a woman would bear' during her lifetime, assuming her childbearing conforms to her age-specific fertility rate every year of her childbearing years (typically, age 15 to 44)

Some statistics for you!

What strikes you about these statistics:

(1) Fertility rate in Hindu women has been coming down steadily

(2) Annual Growth rate of Muslims has been steadily high followed by Christian community

(3) There is a sharp decline in the fraction of the Sikh population — a fall from a 2 per cent share in 1991 to 1.7 per cent in 2011.

(4) Did you note that that the share of the Christian population has stayed constant? It should have declined significantly but stays steady. Why!?


What is going on here? Conversions!!

Christianity practises proselytisation in modern times. The analysis allows one to put a figure to the average per year conversions that modern Christian missionaries have been able to achieve. It is the gap between what the Christian population should have been in 2011 versus the reality of 27.8 million.

If Christians had the same population growth rate as Sikhs (of 1.2 per cent a year rather than the actual growth rate of 1.9 per cent a year), the total number of Christians in India would have been 24.1 million. The “excess” Christian population of 3.7 million in 2011 is very likely due to conversions. This excess translates into an average conversion rate of 1.7 lakh per year between 1991 and 2011.


Money involved in religious conversions

Oh, the article also exposes another sweet spot related to conversions - the money involved. It makes absolute logical sense in numbers and if we go by that, we are talking about over one lakh rupees at least per conversion to Christianity! That is a lot of money given the number of people we are talking about. Where and how these funds are coming into the country? Who is utilizing them to the maximum?


What's the trend in Kerala now? Religious Murders!

Read the second article and then come to the first one. During 2001-11, Muslims in Kerala have grown by 12.8 per cent, while Hindus have grown by 2.2 percent! This rubbishes the theory that given improving levels of literacy and economic conditions, all communities will show drops in their birth rates.

We are also looking at factual data related to 'Love Jihad' that no mainstream media wants to show you.

Various forms of attacks on Hindus

The attacks on Hindu community is not happening just directly, on personal basis, but also through attacks on the cultural aspects as well. Case studies are:

(1) Attack by non-devotee North Indian non-Hindus on Sabarimala

(2) Attacks on Hindu women, most recent being on movie actress Bhavna

(3) Appropriation of Hindu temple artifacts by Christians

(4) Attack on the temple elephants of Kerala, citing animal rights

(5) Attack on Hindu land lords in the name of land reforms


Conclusion

The slow domination of Hindus has been going on for two centuries, like the metaphorical frog boiled in water. If the Hindu community does not sit up and take notice even now, the Hindu majority will soon be gone. Already in some states, Hindu community is not the majority.

In light of the case studies we just saw, am wondering if all the attacks so far on Sri Sri Ravishankar, Baba Ramdev, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, etc. have been just veiled attacks on the revival of Hindu culture by the religious interest groups!
